Mazandaran Province is a high touristic region by its climatic potentials. Within the history of Mazandaran, hospitality has become a social manner between the residents. During the ’60s and ‘70s, by emerging new style villas and the development of towns, a new economic cycle has played a critical role in the residents’ lifestyle. Such a critical cycle has affected villagers’ lifestyle and the consequences are considerable in urban, economic, and environmental systems. Unfortunately, urban development in this region has altered the ecosystem and produced lots of waste and pollution in the coastal area near the Caspian Sea and the jungles around, which is a means of consideration and attention to take and needs macro programming to bring life back to the environment. We take this project as a chance to act the role of an activist and a designer with sustainable approaches by vivification of the rural structures and the ecosystem of the area to make these lands a national and local development driving point. With an analytic glance at contemporary definitions of tourism and ecotourism, Mazandaran Province is of potential contexts to allocate these programs within and we believe that this program could be a prototype with high standards to be implemented not only on a local but global scale.
