An Architect and Urban Designer, AIA Associate, currently based in Los Angeles as a graduate fellow researcher at SCI_Arc and the co-founder of the Urbs. la, a platform for urban studies, speculations, and strategies. I was recently graduated with distinction with an M.S. in Design of Cities lead by Thom Mayne, Eui-Sung Yi, and Karen Lohrmann at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc EDGE-David Ruy).
Experience of change in roles in different dimensions throughout my Academic and professional career has given me the humility and insight to see and understand the responsibilities of both an architect and a project manager. I believe in my social duty as a designer and urban thinker to push the boundaries of practicing and teaching into transforming communities.
I was a partner, senior architect, and project manager at the Transformative Architectural office (TAO) based in Tehran for five years after seven years of work experience in an architecture and urban development consultant firm. I was also an educator at IAUCTB, Tehran University of Art, and Pars University of Art & Architecture. I received my Master of Architectural Engineering specialized in Healthcare Design from IUST(Iran University of Science & Technology) in 2011 and my Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from IAUCTB (Tehran Azad University) in 2008.
